Follow Friday # 68

http://www.alisoncanread.com/2014/08/feature-and-follow-friday-215.html#moreWhat book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?

I think the Saint Germain vampire series by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro deserves some screen attention. I think the stories could work well as films, too, but I'd love to see them made into feature-length TV episodes, like Sherlock, with two or three each year. There are over twenty books to get through, after all!

Writing Update - August 2014

Thought it was about time I wrote a quick line with an update on some of my current writing projects.

First off, some exciting news: my first M/M short story has been accepted for publication in the Stranded anthology, coming from Wayward Ink Publishing in October 2014. The story is entitled "The Raider" and it has a Viking theme. This and all future M/M works will be published under my alternate pen name - Asta Idonea.

In other news, my cyberpunk story hit a slight mental block, but I have been working on the first book in a planned fantasy trilogy and that has been coming along really well. I am already at the 30,000 word mark and I am very excited about how the story is progressing. Stay tuned for more information on that in the near future. I'm keeping the plot hush hush for now, but I can say it has a mythological theme.

Follow Friday #67

What is the biggest city you live near (or interesting landmark)? Show us a postcard picture.

Well, I live in the suburbs of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. Our home is about a 20 minute drive from the city centre.

Adelaide is a fairly small, compact capital city compared with Melbourne and Sydney in the eastern states. Sometimes I wish for more diversity in the shops, but it has a great selection of cafes and restaurants and a pretty good arts scene for a city of its size.

Here are a couple of images I found to share with you all. Greetings from Adelaide, Australia!
