What movie from book coming out in 2017 are you most excited about?

The two that spring to mind first are It and The Snowman. I confess that the second is mostly due to Michael Fassbender playing the lead as I've not read the book. :)

What was the one time you thought the movie was better than the book?

Hmm. Although it's not often the case, there have been some stories that worked better on the screen. The first one that came into my head when I saw this prompt, though, was The Silence of the Lambs.

  1. Oh, interesting answer. I've never read The Silence of the Lambs though. The movie was so good, but chilling.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting!

    1. Thanks Kym. It's not a bad read per se; it's simply that the performances in the film were so great, they gave it added spark.

  2. I haven't read "The Silence of the Lambs", nor have I seen the movie. Both are much too creepy for me! As a general rule, I entirely avoid the horror genre. Thrillers are okay if they don't have an element of horror, which most of them do.

From what I've heard, it was mostly Anthony Hopkins's performance that made the movie so realistically chilling.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on my own BBH post!! Have a nice weekend!! :)

    1. I'm not a big horror fan either; The Silence of the Lambs is one of the few exceptions, because I love Hannibal Lecter as a character. As you say, Anthony Hopkin's performance was really what made the film.

  3. I have heard of The Silence of the Lambs but have not read it.

This is the first book I know of that folks have mentioned. Sadly I haven't known of any books so far.

Thanks for coming by my blog, and I hope you have a good weekend.

    Happy Hopping!!

    1. The film especially is worth seeing if you ever get the chance. The same goes for the three seasons of NBC's Hannibal with Mads Mikkelsen in the title role.

  5. I am wishing everyone luck with anything Stephen King related to see this year. I have the unexplained fear of him and clowns ever since a young age.

    1. I read a lot of Stephen King in my early teens, but then I got tired of being scared all the time and swapped to reading nothing but classics for a couple of years!
