What are your favourite humorous books?
I'm not into straight humour, but I enjoy stories with underlying humour. Authors who do this well include: Halldór Laxness, Milan Kundera & Charlaine Harris.

How do you feel about books with multiple narrators?
I don't mind, as long as each has a distinctive voice and their narration adds to the story.

Opening sentence:
Alainn stepped on the brake pedal of her vintage convertible and hoped, this time, it would listen to her.

From page 56:
"You are functioning properly; however, you have contaminants on your skin and clothing. Please remove your clothing."
My Current Read

Ensnared by Rita Stradling, releasing in April 2017.

A Near-Future Retelling of Beauty and the Beast
Alainn’s father is not a bad man. He’s a genius and an inventor. When he’s hired to create the robot Rose, Alainn knows taking the money is a mistake.
Rose acts like a human. She looks exactly like Alainn. But, something in her comes out wrong.
To save her father from a five year prison sentence, Alainn takes Rose’s place. She says goodbye to the sun and goes to live in a tower no human is allowed to enter. She becomes the prisoner of a man no human is allowed to see.
Believing that a life of servitude lies ahead, Alainn finds a very different fate awaits her in the company of the strange, scarred recluse.

Thoughts so far....
I finished this book last night, and you can read my review HERE.

  4. Each narrator having a distinctive voice is key, isn't it? I think so too. I enjoy reading multiple narrator novels for the most part.

You've caught my attention with Ensnared. It has an interesting premise, even despite the flaws you mention. One to think about, anyway. Seems timely given the movie Beauty and the Beast will be coming out soon. :-)
I hope you have a great week!

  6. I totally agree with your opinion of multiple narrators. As long as they're handled well -- each one has a distinct personality -- and enhance the story, then I'm all for them!

  7. Great answers I also don't mind different narrators as well, I haven't read many humorous books too. But I do love them. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.
