Weekend Blog Hops - 21 December 2018

It's the weekend once more. That means it's time for my book-blogger hopping.

Does your book club have a book exchange for the holidays or any other time during the year? If you don't belong to a book club, do you think that would be something fun to do?
I'm not in a book club. However, I have done a couple of meet-ups with local people via GR, during which we've done a 'mystery' book swap, exchanging ones we've read and no longer wish to keep. Each is wrapped with only a note of the genre on the front. That was good fun, and I got to read a couple of books I wouldn't otherwise have picked up.

It was a nice day. All the days had been nice.

He suspected that Crowley was from the Mafia, or the underworld, although he would have been surprised how right he nearly was.
My Current Read
Good Omens
Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman

According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655, before she exploded), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner.

So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon—both of whom have lived amongst Earth's mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle—are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist . . .

  2. I've never been able to finish a book by Gaiman. I can't get into his sort of humor. This week I am spotlighting Ghost Talkers by Mary Robinette Kowal. Happy reading!

    1. I find him great fun, and this one reads a little like Douglas Adams style of humour too, which I also love.
