Vowing to avenge her parents, Meilin becomes an assassin and infiltrates the life of a ruthless prince — until startling revelations derail her revenge.
Overall I enjoyed Kill Me Love Me. On the plus side, I thought it was nicely filmed (costumes, cinematography etc.) and well acted. It was my first time watching the two lead actors and I appreciated their individual performances and their chemistry together. However, the series did have some negative points too. Firstly, the enemies-to-lovers plot I'd highly anticipated started well, but the 'enemies' bit fell away a little too quickly, I thought, and Jinghe's character underwent a sudden shift the moment the first major reveal of the series took place. It would have been preferably to see that change happen more gradually, to keep the tension for longer. I also felt the Xiyan subplot took over too much and became too convoluted in the second half of the series, detracting from the main story which almost paused with not much happening for a few episodes. The ending too didn't please me, but that's more a personal opinion. Although I've listed a number of negatives, I did still have fun watching it, though, for the actors and the visuals, and it did tug at the heartstrings a number of times during the latter episodes. As such, I have decided to give it 4 stars.
