In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces. (IMDB Synopsis)

Logan is easily my favourite of the three standalone Wolverine movies. There is still plenty of action, but the emphasis is less on super-powered bad guys and more on Logan's character and his relationships. It's bloodier than the previous two movies, and far more brutal, yet it also has more heart. Though a reasonably long film, it never dragged, and it's definitely one that I could happily watch again. 4.5 stars
