Timid Tadano is a total wallflower, and that’s just the way he likes it. But all that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she isn’t aloof—she’s just super awkward. Now he’s made it his mission to help her on her quest to make 100 friends!

Komi Can't Communicate was an endearing story with a positive vibe. I loved the developing friendship between Komi and Tadano, and I thought the concept came across really well. The art style was pleasing and easy on the eye, and I turned the final page in this first volume interested to find out what would happen next. Definitely one I would consider continuing with, and I recommend it to fans of manga with contemporary, sweet and thoughtful story lines.

I received this book as a free eBook ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
