I think it's fair to say that I have found my favourite book of 2020. Since I've loved every book by V. E. Schwab so far, I expected great things from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and I wasn't disappointed. This is a masterful story with delightful prose, perfect pacing, and a heroine who will capture your heart and your imagination. As always with Schwab's characters, I found so much relatable in Addie, and Henry too. From their strengths to their flaws, they are believable, perfectly crafted characters. I won't say too much about the plot as I don't want to bring in any spoilers, but I can say it held my attention from start to finish and made me wish I could keep turning a few more pages when the time came to set the book aside and go to sleep. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a book that I can see myself rereading again and again.
