Perfume is a German crime drama loosely inspired by the Süskind novel of the same name. Indeed, the book and its protagonist are referenced many times throughout the series. Clocking in at just six hours, this was a fairly short TV series; however, I did find my attention wavering briefly in the middle, when things seemed to drag a bit, before the action picked up again for the finale. Overall, I would describe this series as interesting, even if it never completely captured me. I would give it 3.5 stars, but I will round up to a four, as it did keep me guessing about the killer until close to the end.
