TV Review: Fishbowl Wives (金魚妻)(Drama)

In a luxury apartment tower, six different women in unhappy marriages end up crossing the line into infidelity. Based on the manga series by Kurosawa R. (Netflix Synopsis)

Fishbowl Wives was a mostly enjoyable drama. The characters were all interesting, and I liked following their progress through the series. The main pairing of Sakura and Haruto were my favourites, but because of that I felt really let down by the decisions Sakura made in the final episode. She'd grown a lot as the story progressed, but her choices in episode eight seemed to me to take her back a step. I thought she was mad to do what she did, and even though there was a final hopeful twist again at the end, it marred my appreciation for the series somewhat. If you enjoy relationship dramas (and don't mind a lot of sex scenes), it's worth a look. It gets 4.5 stars from me.
