This is a drawing of Hua Cheng, Crimson Rain Sought Flower from the novel/manga/anime Heaven Official's Blessing (Tian Guan Ci Fu).
This was my first time attempting a marker drawing for which I used references but created my own 'pose' rather than copying exactly from an existing image. It's not perfect, but for a first attempt I am reasonable pleased with it.
I got new markers for my birthday, and in this piece I tried using them alongside my existing set. However, they did not blend well together and I had to keep trying to fix running and streaking, so in the future I'll need to stick to one set or the other, depending on the drawing.
This piece was drawn over approx. 7 hours. This is a photograph of the finished drawing. I fixed the white background in GIMP (which had gone 'grimy' in the photo. Otherwise, it is as drawn.
