The Encyclopedia of Korean Folk Literature is a well-collated resource for those interested in Korean mythology and folklore. As per the blurb above, the book is divided into three section and in each all the relevant tales are gathered. Each tale is told in a minimal form, along with any discussion such as different versions found in different regions of the country or at different time. The style and presentation is perhaps not as immediately engaging as in some other books retelling Korean folk tales, but it is a comprehensive work for those with a more serious interest. I am giving it 4.5 stars.
