The Encyclopedia of Korean Folk Beliefs is an interesting and informative work. It is divided into sections, and under those headings it lists alphabetically different items and their explanations, including a wealth of colour images showing different components of the rituals and the events that take place during them. It is a comprehensive and well-presented work that will be of interest to anyone intrigued by Korean folk customs and shamanism. I am giving it 4.5 stars.
