Welcome Daehakro
Musical
The first year I watched streamed musicals during the Welcome Daehakro festival (2021), I didn't think to review them afterwards. In 2022, I planned to review, but because of the late start time of the streams that year, and the fact they were on weeknights when I had to work the next day, I was only able to watch half of each performance, so it didn't feel right to comment on them. But this year I am finally reviewing a few of those I watch. Last night was the first time, but they will stream more shows tonight, tomorrow and for three days next week, so check out the Welcome Daehakro YouTube channel if you are interested in seeing any.
Williams was a musical based on the true story of a Shakespeare forgery case at the end of the 18th century. There were only three cast members, but they brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the performance. The set looked good and was well utilised and I liked several of the musical numbers. For a small-scale musical it was a pleasing work and I had fun watching it. I am giving it 4 stars.
