Reading Recs: Top Classics for Newbies

Are you new to the classics? Have you been scared to give them a try, worried you won't know where to start? Then look no further than today's infographic, where I recommend twelve works to get you going. There's something for every literary taste!

Like a good dollop of romance? Then try Pride and Prejudice, North and South, or Persuasion.

In the mood for adventure and sword fighting? Then spend an hour or two with Alexandre Dumas, checking out The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo, or The Man in the Iron Mask.

Looking for mystery and intrigue? Pick up a copy of Jane Eyre, Northanger Abbey, or The Mysteries of Udolpho.

Suppose you want something darker? In that case, check out Crime and Punishment, Jude the Obscure, or Wuthering Heights.
