Are Nova and Adrian each other’s worst nightmare?

In Renegades, Nova and Adrian (aka Insomnia and Sketch) fought the battle of their lives against the Anarchist known as the Detonator. It was a short-lived victory.

The Anarchists still have a secret weapon, one that Nova believes will protect her. The Renegades also have a strategy for overpowering the Anarchists, but both Nova and Adrian understand that it could mean the end of Gatlon City – and the world – as they know it.

Archenemies is an enjoyable continuation of the story that started in Renegades. I liked seeing the relationship between Nova and Adrian develop. Plus, the book sets things up well for a final, explosive installment. Once or twice I thought sections could have been trimmed a little, as there's not as much happening action-wise here as in book one. Most of it feels more like preparation for the final volume. Yet it was still fairly long and felt a tad bloated here and there. But that's a minor gripe as I still had great fun reading the book and I am looking forward to seeing how the tale will end.
