Jang Uk returns from death, and three years later, the story of the mages unfolds anew. Jang Uk becomes a hunter of the soul-shifters when a young woman, a prisoner in her own home, seeks his help to reclaim her freedom. (Synopsis)

I had been eagerly looking forward to the second part of Alchemy of Souls and mostly it didn't disappoint. The story picks up three years after the first part ended and eventually ties up all the loose ends from the earlier series. The special effects are still great and the performances excellent. I would say I found the story in part two marginally less compelling than the plotline in first part, and the main actress a little less engaging, but it remained an excellent show regardless of these very small complaints. I would give part one 5 stars and part two 4.5, but overall it's a 5-star series without a doubt. Recommend to fantasy fans who also like a good dose of drama and a touch of humour.
