An extraordinary road to emotional healing opens up for an antisocial children's book writer and a selfless psych ward caretaker when they cross paths. (Synopsis)
It's Okay to Not Be Okay was a fresh-feeling and interesting drama that blended a thoughtful commentary on mental health with a dark fairy tale romance. As a quick aside, I did find the 'sanitised' English title amusing; a direct translation of the Korean title would be "psycho but okay"! The cast all gave excellent performances and the show was well paced and always kept me keen to move to the following episode to see what would happen next. The way the fairy tales were blended into the narrative worked very well. Overall, it was an excellent series and I would give it 4.5 stars which I will round up to a five. It was a very memorable story.
